fLAuta will be a diverse and exciting program of ten 20th and 21st century solo and chamber works written by composers currently living in Los Angeles. Flutist Rachel Mellis and pianist Mitsuko Morikawa will be featured, and will be joined by several other artists throughout the performance. The evening will include two world premieres and other selections for flute, alto flute, piccolo, piano, harp, viola, percussion, and electronics.
