The Fabric of Sound

Los Angeles percussionist Sidney Hopson takes on a breath-taking program with modern compositions by Druckman, Norton, Pereira, Piazzolla and Xenakis, which are driven by styles from primitivism to romantic lyricism. An array of instruments such as marimba, temple blocks, doumbek and various drums will provide the audience with both sonic and visual experiences.
